御影石は建材や墓石のイメージが強い石ですが、近くに寄ってじっくりと見るとその美しさに驚かされます。このすてきな石材をもっと身近なものにしたいと思い、御影石をくり貫いてボールペンに仕上げました。いつでもどこでも天然石の魅力に触れて見て感じることが出来ます。

御影石は元々神戸市御影村で産出する花崗岩の呼び名でした。しかし今では花崗岩、閃緑岩、斑レイ岩など硬く美しい石の総称として使われています。世界中にいろいろな色調や模様を有する御影石が存在していて、アクセサリーや調度品などにも加工されています。

「天然石工房なすと」では御影石に加え、大理石やジャスパーなど美しい石材をボールペンに加工しています。ナチュラルストーンボールペンを略して「ナスボ」と名付けました。特に選りすぐりのナスボを「プレミアム ナスボ」と称しています。

天然石には多くの成分が含まれ、複雑な色と模様を生み出しています。微少成分の結晶や微細なヒビなどは光を複雑に屈折させてキラキラと不思議な反射を生じます。光源や見る角度により全く違った表情を見せてくれるのが天然石の魅力です。

硬くて脆い石材をペン形状に加工するのは容易なことではありませんでした。前例も見つけることができませんでした。そこで、ペンターニング技法を参考にしましたが、失敗に次ぐ失敗の連続で、２年かけてようやく作品に仕上げることができました。複雑な工程のため、ナスボの製作には約２カ月を要します。手作業が多く作れる数も限られています。

ナスボは天然石を使用しているため色や模様が一つひとつ異なっています、また形状や寸法も微妙に異なっています。そのため「一点もの」として出来たものから順次公開していきます。あなただけのお気に入りの一品をぜひ見つけてください。

We wanted to make this wonderful stone material more accessible, so we hollowed out a piece of granite and made it into a ballpoint pen. You can touch, see, and feel the charm of natural stone anytime and anywhere.

Granite with various colors and patterns exists all over the world, and it is processed into accessories and furnishings. Natural stone workshop NAST produces ballpoint pens from granite and other beautiful stones such as diorite, gabbro, marble, and jasper. Natural stone ballpoint pens are named "Nasbo" for short. We call especially selected Nasbo "Premium Nasbo".

Natural stone contains many components, producing complex colors and patterns. Crystals of minute components and minute cracks intricately refract light, producing sparkling and mysterious reflections. The charm of natural stone is that it shows completely different expressions depending on the light source and viewing angle.

It was not easy to process the hard and brittle stone into a pen shape. It took two years to develop the processing method. We hope you will enjoy the Japanese craftsmanship.
